There are applications to download for a wii count down but i find the best way to have one on your desktop is to make a desktop item.

Step 1 RIGHT click on your desktop

Step 2 click Properties then the Desktop tab

Step 3 click the Customize Desktop button

Step 4 click the Web tab

Step 5 click the New button type in http://www.wiicantwait.com/ and press Ok.

After you click ok close all the windows you opened and look at your desktop you should see something similar to this

You can resize it as you wish and it won't interfer with anything on your computer except maybe your icons which you can eather move or hide.

awesome! ive been trying to get one of these to work forever. changed my icons color a bit tho. nice tho

Looks really good, but it just won't work for me. Just shows a blank white box on my desktop. Tried saving the web page, and putting the local html file into that Web tab, but still no luck.

That's a shame, because I wanted a way around using those external applications for a countdown clock.

Mac OSX Countdown Widget

For us Mac users, download one of the many Widgets for your Dashboard-
http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/

Do a search for "Wii" and you get various Widgets for US, Europe, Australia, and Japan.

Pulls up instantly and disappears just as fast keeping your desktop uncluttered.

Here's mine-

A very elegant solution.
