Wii + Flashdrives = ?

Well, since the Wii has 2 USB 2.0 Ports, will it be able to accept Flash/Zip Drives for extra storage for photos, VC, games, ect. Or atleast transfer photos and music to the console? Or is Nintendo gunna be gay and make you use SD Cards which are alot more pricey?

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but since both the PS3 and Xbox 360 allow for external storage via a flash/hard drive, it's probably gonna be possible, either at launch, or via a firmware update in the future.

No telling what the deal is, I have a 23 page launch guide from nintendo power and it is still sketchy as far as this goes...external hd, flash drives. Im just hoping I can use some of my useless flash drives I have laying about.
