Wii Region Free???

I know this is gonna sound pretty stupid of me but is the wii region free??
cause I wanna get Resi 4 but there isnt a UK launch planned

why not just buy it on the gamecube

The wii is in-fact region LOCKED. Resident Evil 4 will come out soon to the UK so you must have patience. If you really can't wait then you can always play the GC version.

There is a way to play Gamecube games from another region on your wii console im not sure if it works for wii games.

Hey cannon you can play imported Wii games with action replay and they have also made a version for the Wii but only supports GameCube discs because the one designed for GameCube was a bit dicky, and to the original poster please use the search function this has been posted many times just try to search next time thanks.
