Wii sports on line?

Is it possible to play any of the sports games on line with other Wii people who are registered somewhere else? Otherwise, what's the point of registering other players?

You can not play people online with the Wii Sports game disc that comes with it.
But there are sports games you can play online like Madden 08 and NBA 08 etc.

yeh mate, unfortunately the Wii sports cant be played online. but there are other games that u can, hence the reason y u can register other players. the point of registering is also so u can keep in touch via emails, exchange photos of ur pets, etc......
