You can use a USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet Adapter to connect to the internet. Airlink101 and Kinamax makes an adapter that are Wii compatible. I have three AirLink101 (Model: ASOHOUSB) adapters and they all work on all three of my consoles even with the latest updates. These things run off the same chipset that the official Nintendo Ethernet adapter does. These are priced at only $12.99 at your local Fry's while the Kinamax NT-USB20 will run you about $25 shipped and there's no guarantee that you will get the same pictured product from newegg.
