Xbox 360 hard drive

i have been wondering this because the lower console for the Xbox360 (the cheaper one 299USD) says it does not come with hard drive which im aware of but is there a way i can buy a hard drive later on if i choose to get it?, just curious because i saw a hard drive at walmart for the 360 and was wondering is it something that you plug into it and it is external? or is it something that essentially makes it the 399 xbox?

its detachable, you can buy one and just attach it to the side, it will be obvious where it goes

its cheaper to buy the 399 one indtead of buying the 299 one than buying a 100 hdd,unless you dont want all the features the 399 one gets.

wireless controller
xbox live arcade game (hexic HD) (already on harddrive)
videos and stuff that are already on harddrive
headset
compenent cables
ethernet cord (im pretty sure core dosent have these)

if your a serious gamer get the 400 version, if your a casual gamer get the 300 one
