American Wii in Norway?

I want to buy my nephew a Wii. He lives in Norway and I am in the U.S. Will a U.S. Wii work there? If so, what kind of adapter would it need? And if not, where and how should I buy it? Thanks!

European games won't work on an American Wii. You'll have to get your nephew a European Wii.
