chachs official Resident Evil 4 hints and questions Thread

It seems like the big combos are going to be created in similar places within each location, right? That's why I'm thinking that getting familiar with the location would be more helpful per se than knowing the capability of the character, but then again, I suppose to really get 5 stars you're going to need both.

The other key point, it seems to me, is knowing how to deal with the mini-bosses within each location. Krauser makes it pretty easy, but with Hunk or Ada it's definitely tougher because you don't have the big firepower. I've found that getting those chainsaw guys out of the way makes life much easier afterwards, but it's not always easy figuring out how to do that.

By "golden ones" you mean the ones in the treasure chests right?

Thanks for the video link pkstudios, will watch and learn!!! I just don't think I am ever gonna be good enough to get five stars with all characters on all stages, I am particularly bad at the castle. Btw just how many do you need for five star, I just got 52000 with Hunk in the village and still only got 4 stars for that. Better than the one star I was getting tho!!!!

I'm thinking that once you get the pattern of how to handle a certain location, you should be able to do the same basic things with any character. The only main difference should be how to handle the mini-bosses. But then again maybe I'm just another misguided noob.

I've got a long way to go. Bought the game on Saturday and am just now on 3-1. At this rate, I should be done by Christmas (hopefully). It's okay though, I'm not a huge gamer and I'm just having fun with it.

lol.....you can kill the mini bosses with anybody......just use the grenade and aim at the head

Yeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss I did it, took the advice, managed to get over thirty thousand in the castle with Wesker and it did unlock Krauser.
Then used Krauser and got my first ever five star in the village.... oh happy days.

Now for the other nineteen five stars...gulp :scared:

Thanks for all the advice guys

I'm trying to figure up how much money to save. When you beat the game and the Separate Ways and Assignment Ada you unlock the Chicago Typewriter right? How much does it cost? When do you unlock the infiinite rocket launcher and how much does it cost?

you unlock the chicago typewriter when you beat separate ways.....1,000,000 pestas

you have to beat game to unlock the infinite rocket launcher......1,000,000 pestas

The exclusive for the Striker was the best. 100 shot capacity. The others had things like much faster firing speed, faster reload speed, or more firepower, which are all good, but not as good as the extra ammo. If you have the striker, I'd focus on getting the exclusive for that one.

Progress update on the Mercenaries: I've managed to get 12 so far, and I think the heavy lifting is still in front of me. I've been going more or less as I thought, by location as opposed to by character. I've got all 5 characters through both the Village and the Castle, but I've been stuck on Waterworld with Leon for quite some time now. They really seem to have it in for me there. It's like, hey, here's a ladder, little did I realize there's a zombie bomb just hanging out at the top step. Anyway, I'd list the locations and characters as follows, from easiest to hardest:

Locations:
Village
Castle
Camp
Waterworld

Characters:
Wesker
Krauser
Ada
Hunk
Leon

That's my experience anyways.
