summerdown - maybe you should revisit some successful videos. Try going on youtube and searching for resident evil 4 wii mercenaries and you'll find a bunch of them. Watch and learn - that's what I did...

Thanks for that, briliant idea, will go and have a look and see if I can finally crack it. Did the videos help you much?

I would go so far as to say I would have given up trying without them. It's hard enough to do what you need to do when you know what you're supposed to be doing. At first I was just running around a lot without even knowing where I was going, so the videos were invaluable to me.

Once I got the hang of a particular location (knowing precisely where the time extensions were and so forth), it was just a matter of getting used to the particular qualities of each character to get through them.

Of course I'm not ashamed to say that I used walkthroughs to help me figure out the game itself too. As much as I would like to say that I did it "all by myself" I just don't have the patience to figure out every little alleyway and direction to go. I'm happy to have the help and am still proud enough of just getting my skills together enough to make it to the end. I can always go back and explore areas later on once it I don't have to worry about just finishing.

My game still hasnt arrived so I have stated a claim to the retailer and I might have a free copy sent out to me:)

Pkstudios, you are quite right, the videos are a massive help, thanks so much for that. I now only have five five stars left to get, all four of Leon's and one for Ada in the castle. Am finding Ada particularly frustrating as I have got within 200 points several times and either been killed by the garrador or have run out of time!!!
Anyone got any advice on how to get the five stars in all areas with Leon, really having tough times with him. By the way, what do you get for achieving the 20 five stars, been so long since I started trying to get them I forgot what the reward is.

You get the hand cannon, summerdown, which is like one of the magnums but you can upgrade it to unlimited ammo with extremely high power. I don't find that weapon all that great, but it was still worth it to complete the mercs just for the sake of completing the mercs.

If you're that close with Ada it means you just need to add one or two more kills in a row and then you've got it! The castle was the easiest area for me with all the characters. It's nice and enclosed, unlike the waterfront where one time I had 59,800 and couldn't locate anyone to kill before my time ran out! I was runnning around going, oh, come on, somebody come out!

If you haven't already tried this yet with the videos, if you have access to a computer in the same room as the Wii console, load up a video and just follow it step by step. As you accomplish one thing, pause the game and follow the video to the next part, then pause that, do that part in the game, pause the game and go back to the video, like that. It worked for me!

I've been playing Metriod Prime for the past few weeks but actually missing RE 4. I'll go back and try the mercs again and see if I can come up anything ingenius for you (highly doubtful).

Whats so good about the Chicago Typewriter? o_O

It is...better then....other guns?

Is it that one shot one kill gun?

it is powerful, it's not one shot, depends on the thing you are aiming at, it shoots consecutively like a Tommy, and you need not reload, if you wanna cheat your way to victory, use that gun.

Can I just say, a giant Roffles at the voice when you select the game.
