Crazy Glitch that makes my game unplayable

I have this crazy glitch in my game. When I'm supposed to be doing the 4 (or is it 5?) different missions for the (sorry about this) friends of the person the guy's girlfriend's dad originally sent me to (the place where there's a shooting range), if I go to back to the sword master's house to learn new sword techniques from his daughter something happens and my sword remains selected as my active weapon, meaning when I start a mission I end up having a sword instead of a gun, and I can't pull the sword out because no one's engaging me in a sword fight, so I just get to run around and die over and over again! WTF?

Please note, I tried this twice just in case it was a one time glitch--obviously not >:0

Press left on the D-Pad to bring out a gun.

Common glitch. He's right. After some sword fights you may experience your gun isn't pulled out...u hae to manually change it. Make this an experience because when you fight ninjas somthing appens after a sword fighht in "night of the ____" *hint hint*
