Seriously what @#$%% EA!!
You do your mistakes experimenting and trying to be innovative and now because your stupid experiments were wrong with poor sales, you try to justify that, like a excuse to leave the Wii development?
Is well know that experiments are RISKY!!
Instead you must focus in your best. Trying to atrack the casual audience with kidly, friendly and cartoonish games is a complete fault!!
The low sales are the Wii owners response to poor, crappy and badly implemented games on the Wii!!
Games like Madden, Need for Speed Nitro, Dead Space and others take the wrong direction!!
You try to do multiplatform games looking different than the xbox360/ps3 versions, now is demostrated that this point of view is wrong.
You need to focus in trying to do far better Wii games than the HD consoles, How do this?
First, try to do graphics as close the xbox360/ps3, you know the Wii isn't a horsepower machine but with effort and a specific designed engine that pushes the hardware's limits you can get very close results.
Second, include all the modes and features the others versions have, there's not reason to Wii's watered down ports with less features or valid excuses to do that.
Third, take absolute motion controls' advantage, again absolute advantage. This means offer motion+ support and taking advantage of other Wii's devices like Wiispeak.
Take for example Tiger Woods 2009, this title meets all requeriments to be successfull and now the Wii version sells far better than the HD versions.
Thankfully there are some Wii games that are better on Wii than the xbox360/ps3 (PES2010, Shaun White, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Ghostbusters, etc), and sell better too.
It's a simple formula!!
Madden 08 was the best selling version than '09 and 2010 version, because is more focusing in the core elements with far better controls.
NFS Pro Street was the best selling version than NFS Nitro for the same cause. There's all the Wii owners wanted EA!!
Is just simple like that!!
Listen us and give us all we wanted!!
For example launch for Wii, titles like: Black with improved graphics and far better controls than the ps2 version, Brutal legend, Dead Space 2 with third person perspective (if Viseral Games would be launched Dead Space Extraction using the third person view like RE4 Wii edition as the xbox demo, the sales would be far better), Dante Inferno (if you launch the PSP version, why not the Wii version), Army of Two and the next Madden, NBA and NFS like NFS Shift, following the same Tiger Woods formula. You will enjoy far better sales on the Wii maket and better sales than the xbox360/ps3 market. The Tiger Woods Wii sales success is the proof of that.
Focusing in Blockbusters for HD consoles is a bad decision while you can do Blockbusters on the Wii too!!
Do that and not claiming to leave the Wii development!!
This is for you Mr. Riccitiello!!
