Non Modded Wii with black screen

My Nintendo Wii just goes to the black screen and nothing else. I recently moved into another room in the house and I haven't played the system in a while. Then all of the sudden I want to play it and thats what I get. please give me input on what I should do to fix the black screen. Thanks Luke

are the av cables plugged in

yes all cables are plugged in and it acts as if it was going to start, but nothing does come up. any ideas?
