How depressing...the Gallade I used in Pearl can't be transferred because I caught it in Emerald, which I hacked. It sort of has no OT...forgot about that. Poor guy.

You weren't very clear with explaining why it bothered you. I'm guessing that it bothers you since special attackers can't potentially take advantage of the attack boost given, which is nice if your Pokemon was the one hit by Swagger, and if luck works in your favor. If that's not why it bothers you, then you're clearly having some sort of misunderstanding.

Transferred 5011-UX, a Porygon-Z, to Y, and decided to use it in the Battle Maison. Literally the first battle it participates in, it Tricks its Choice Scarf to a Lanturn, who proceeds to switch out after paralyzing it. It eventually comes in again against my Sharpedo, and uses...Stockpile.

Corocoro revealed Diancie recently, and somefin came to my attention.

Let's inspect its stats.

HP: ABSURDLY low for a legendary. A base 60 HP Pokemon's HP at lv. 100 can go as low as 230, meaning that Diancie has to have something lower than 60. Sounds a lot like Carbink, who has base 50 HP.

Attack: I'm estimating about 100, much more than Carbink's base 50 attack

Defense: Calcs show that, assuming no EV's, it's probably really close to Carbink's base 150. I'm assuming that there are few EV's, if any, for any of these stats.

Sp. Attack: Same as attack

Sp. Defense: Same as defense

Speed: Calcs show it to probably be close to Carbink's base 50

Assuming that my prediction of 50/100/150/100/150/50 is correct (it probably is), that brings the BST to 600, also known as one of the most common BST's for a legendary. There's also the very notable design similarities, the shared typing....at this point I'm nearly convinced that Diancie IS some sort of "super Carbink".
