I was thinking the same. Reminds me of Mega Garchomp and Mega Mewtwo Y.
Well, actually, the attack boost could allow Mega Latios to use Dragon Dance more viably. Reminds me of Mega Lucario with its ability to go all out physical or all out special, although I'd imagine it would still use Draco Meteor on many physical sets. As such, it's more a boon to Latios' predictability.

... be an inferior everything to any other Physical Dragon-type, all the while "wasting" your Mega Evolution slot. The ONLY thing MLatios @ DD is reputable for is bein' the fastest DDer. Havin' one'a the strongest Draco Meteors ain't all-that impressive either, 'cause it's unboosted on a Physical set (not even Life Orb). Also Rayquaza.
Physical MLatios is even moar garbage, 'less it has some sort'a supersecretspecial wall breaking strategy nothin' else in the game can reproduce (again, 'Quaza).
I'm inclined to agree with you, but surely the unpredictability factor must count for something. If they switch their Skarmory in on your special Mega Latios, they're in trouble. If they switch in their Blissey on your Dragon Dance Mega Latios, they're in trouble. But you're right, outside of that it's mostly outclassed as a Dragon Dancer. A rather boring mega.

That ain't how it works. MLatios is shittastic at every Physical role, and is therefore wholly predictable. No one's gonna switch their Physical wall into it. In fact, MLatios is more predictable than any other OU Latios set since the latter could be holding Specs, Scarf, or somethin' really weird like a pinch berry (Storm would do it).

Grand illustrations on my point. I would imagine that the Latis' base Speed isn't higher for balancing purposes, but there's absolutely no ****ing reason why their Speed didn't increase instead'a their ****in' Attack. Just 10 more points would make me happy since they'd then at least outspeed and not die to their non-Mega counterparts' Draco Meteors. But no. More aerodynamic and evolution, same ****in' Speed.
