PS3 Production Costs Halved?

Ya :) They used to be losing money per console... But now they profit from their sales.
That is very nice to hear. Apparently, the PS3 Dev Kit prices have also been halved from £10,000 to £5000, so I am sure that more developers will now involve themselves with the PS3.

What sucks about waiting until price drop is that by the time you buy it, then the next console is around the corner. So when that new console is released you usually have only a year to buy all the games you want because they stop production and all thats left is used games and whatever is in the bargain bins. Also when you get great online games, they may be dead or almost dead so hardly anyone is on. Especially on the PS since they dont have as many members.

I laugh at anyone who bought a full priced $600 PS3 when mere months later they bump it down to $500 (Mainly because it had no freaking games to justify the spending) . I hear you can get a used 60gb for $400 now. Sony plans on dropping the console price again to $349, later $300 before X-mas 2008. Give Sony a few years, it'll have a bunch of godly games and a reasonable price. It also may be dead by then... cough. But time will tell the results.

so duz this mean the ps3 will be dropped to lets say $300 cuz if it is im definitly planning on getting it. if it duz ps3 sales will probaly soar.

Yeah Ive had bad luck with stuff like that. (Buying Phat PS2, then month later Slim comes out, same with PSP) But I doubt there will be an 8th generation Sony consol until 2010 atleast.
