PS3 sucks, now tell me why not to think so.

I say the combination. When i play the Wii, it doesnt feel next gen. Like they could have made a motion sensing controller for the GC and made more games for that. But with the Wiimote relying so heavily on motion control, games wont vary much.

In the same sense the Xbox 360 doesnt feel next gen due to its lack of power and storage medium. Plus 3 of the same system is a little overboard.

The PS3 to me feels like a next gen console, graphicly it is. Blu-ray gets rid of the need to change discs, which the 360 will most likely be doing soon and would take away any feel of next gen it had left. I think the controller is perfect, in every way. Sony made it right the first time, then perfect when they added anolog sticks. Its a balance between motion and buttons, as it doesnt heavily rely on one or the other but allowing best of both.

Thats why i think the PS3 is next gen.

I use it on a daily basis, mostly I switch between reading ebooks, streaming data between my pc and the psp and playing every single game i have loved since my nes-ps1 days.

Hell yea. I cant wait for racing games so i can put my psp's next to the tv or on the side so i can use them as rear view mirrors! PSP's, i got three XD Thats something i find great, being able to use the handheld with the system. I wish nintendo would incorporate something like that.

Good graphics do not fully equal next gen though. The 360 has the best gpu in my opinion of all the consoles, but lacks the processing power. So the ps3, with slightly worse graphics can have more going on at any one time than the 360. This could mean more graphics though not necessarily better.

I have to say though, Motor Storm is a pretty damn good looking game.

Sorry Swift, but there are much more advanced Handhelds then the PSP.. they just dont have the gaming edge on them.

Uhm... no it isnt? Ill tell you why. Notice all the "Great looking games" for 360. Look at how small the area is. They make high poly models in small rendered areas. Mass Effect and Gears of War are awsome examples cause they are the best looking games. Watch a Mass Effect video and see the area, it renders in a small portion as to acomodate the processor. Also they had to strip some of the textures on the charicters. Gears of War is the same thing. The are rooms and streets but nothing open. Remember the train? Look at the scenery going by, its all flat and the aliens flying by on the side you cant interact with.

The PS3 has better looking games already, if you dont count the ports which i think thats what you were refering to. Ports from the 360 to PS3 dont look as good and have more problems as they are not configured to the PS3 hardware properly. Resistance and Motorstorm both look better than any 360 game.

please name some of these handheld consoles because I have yet to find something that beats the psp. I use my psp for reading books, games, homebrew, various apps, wardriving, music, communicating with my pc and playing all my favorite nes, snes, n64, sega, game gear, ps1, neo geo, and other old school games. Its just a huge part of my life, I cant imagine anything more advanced than it other than a laptop and those I do not consider handhelds.

I was refering to NY_KRaKRocKS about his comments about the Wii being a lunchbox. I was saying that the "lunchbox" he was refering to would appeal to me more than the PS3.

but i will say that PS3 is good for what it is, and it is better for what it is, a home multi media center, that happens to play games, but the wii is a games console and purely a games console, nintendo realised that they rock at making video games, so why should the wii need anything else ? the wii is great for what it is... a games console, made for pure fun.
