No, they put it up accordingly to the country's time. I get them at the stroke of midnight which the day is now Thursday(apparently) so why do the two updates given long before midnight say Thursday?

No, no they dont, they usually go up at 4 - 5pm Japan time, which is midnight for America, I'm in Australia and the time difference is only 1 hour between here and Japan, they go up at the end of the working day in Japan.
