I've heard Death Note called a lot of things, but never 'simple'.

U obviously haven't met any of my friends
They said it was all to obvious, easy to understand and predictible

The more you know about real politics and Police Forces the more incomprehensible the plot of Death Note becomes. If you just spend your time watching a f*ckload of Fraiser I guess it gains more predictability.

There is quite a bit of Fridge Logic floating around the plot of the show.

It's take on the moral axis IS pretty simple though.

I was thinking about the manga.
Read the manga!
I also saw the OAV which isn't CG.
It's alright. There's far worse franchises out there.

I like the CG. Makes me think of cel-shaded JRPGs. I always like those. Though I think my taste for the visuals has been hammered into my brain by the sheer number of JRPGs I've played.
