It is officially an Adventure FPS [They made a new category for it]

However, if I HAD to choose, I would call any Metroid game UP UNTIL Metroid Prime 3 Adventure. I personally think Metroid Prime 3 made the jump to FPS-dominant.

Wow, you sir may be the stupidest person I've yet to meet in my entire life. Metroid is the series' name. Metroid Prime is a part of that series. Its comparable to Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid. They are in no way the same thing.
