Wii U Remote Not Responding Correctly

Hi All,

This is not a battery or syncing issue.

When playing Mario Kart 8 and trying to steer with the remote (Motion) the car will just do it's own thing. The sensor is registering the controller but it's erratic and doesn't correspond to my movements. The controller works fine if I switch it to D-Pad controls so not sure why there's an issue with the motion controls.

Also when trying to play old wii games, one I reach the wii menu the sensor does not pick up the controller. It's fine until it gets to the wii menu.

Since your controllers seem to be having issues working properly I would suggest following this support article (some of which you may have already tried) and then contacting us via the link at the bottom if your issue is still not resolved.
