Wiimote synced, but no cursor

I just bought a secord Wiimote and I synced it so many times now I can't remember.

I can use it to turn the Wii on and off, and to press the A button the very first time to get to the Wii main menu, but there is no cursor for it and it won't do anything else.

I've tried taking the batteries out of the first Wiimote, and the second one syncs as being the only remote, but it still doesnt work.

any ideas?

Have you called Nintendo Support yet? Thats the first step.

it sounds like the buttons are working but the motion sensor isn't working. Check your sensor bar to make sure its working properly with your other controller, if it is and the 2nd controller still doesn't work I would guess the motion sensing chip is defective.

yea, i'm going to bring it back to best buy tomorrow
