2 controllers for Mario Party 8?

I cant get my second remote to work with MP8 I click the 2 player Icon and when I click to activate the second remote it says "Please Connect a second remote" it works with all my other games except this one. any thoughts?

Did you try the temp add of a Wii remote in game?

ie, start MP8, then hit home, then reconnect it that way. Thats how I had to do it before i figured out my sync problem......

activate all the remotes before you start the game. and what do you mean you'r e clicking to activate the remote? just hit a button on the remote you want on.
