I haven't heard much about the game so far or much speculation. I expect this game to come out Q4 2008 before Christmas, if not, then early 2009.
Another reason is My Sims just recently came out, releasing something of the same genre and type wouldn't make such sense in this situation.
Who knows though, Nintendo might improve on the concepts My Sims introduced.
