Atari Jaguar

Does anyone remember the atari Jaguar console?

I remember watching Gamesmaster in my early teens and seeing a feature on it. It looked really cool at the time as it was 64-bit. I also remember reading EDGE magazine and seeing lots of nice screenshots of jaguar games. There was a game called Alien vs. Predator that looked amazing for the time. Unfortunately I never ever got to play this console. My local Virgin Megastore - where I remember playing the N64 in - didn't sell it.

I've often considered buying a jaguar on ebay but I've always talked myself out of it thinking the graphics would look terrible now.

I mean, if u wanna buy it go ahead, it doesnt seem a bad system.

anyway, yeh, these games would look crap now, but back in the day they would have looked great.

and u never know, it might make its way to the virtual console some time.

The cd rom was a waste of time Atari shoulda made more games

I had one, bought it at a KB Toy Store on clearance for like 20 bucks. I got ripped off! The system was horrible compared to other consoles out at the time. Just glad I waited till they were clearanced before buying one...I'd of been really pissed had I bought one at full price.

It had some nice touches
Like the predator different vi sons
a honer system (Lose points for killing while cloaked gain for front kills)
The alien beeing able to caccon enemys (they act like lifes)

For a 64bit system it was shite allright. Looks more like sega cd games. The controller was dredfull as well. The only good games that came out of that system was Doom, AVP, Temptest, and Way of the Warrior. Unless that was a 3DO game. I cant remember.
