Can u swerve the ball on tennis?

i did what i think a couple of times make the ball swerve but can't replicate it constantly. Can it be done, if so how?

Do you mean how to hit a curving ball?(Well I know this is not the right term but since I know nothing of tennis, plz bare with me.)
If the ball is coming on your right side(if you're right-handed), hit the ball twisting ur wiimote from button facing up to down.
And if the ball is coming on your left side, hit it twisting ur wiimote from button facing down to up.
And just so you know, when you serve if you hit the ball when it reached its highest point you can do the super(?) serve..
