characters moving opposite

Hello all i am new here. I have tried to search but i came up empty. Can anyone tell me how to stopp my mii from moving opposite if what i do. In boxing, when i punch left my character punches with his right. If i cross my remotes to block my characters spreads his arms, is there a way to change this. I have the sensor bar on top of a mitisubshi 73inch dlp. I have tried to place it on top and the bottom, with the bottom seems to get the best response. can you please help

The sensor is only used for the pointer functionality, it wouldn't have any affect on the motion sensitivity.

It sounds like you're holding the remote and nunchuck in the opposite hands.
