component cable/TV question

Your going to want a different TV anyway because the one you have is 16ms which is not good for gaming.
 
does the component cable really make a huge difference? I dont really know that much about this stuff, but it doesnt seem like it would be worth 35$ just for a clear-er picture.

so i just need to hook my wii(when i get it, only 2 more days!!) to the tv via the s-video input with the bundled cable?

You'll need an S-Video cable for that and, as far as I know, the Wii doesn't include one in the box. Nintendo's official site doesn't seem to offer one. Gamestop does but it's $30 which is kind of expensive for S-Video and it doesn't release until 12/26:
