component cable vs composite cable

Is it the general consensus that the component cable hook up is noticeably better than the standard composite cable that comes with the system?
I have seen a few posts, but wanted to see if more than 2 people had an opinion before I spend the money.
I know the Wii only outputs 480p (in addition to 480i)
I have a 50in Samsung DLP.

It does make a huge difference yes.

However, don't expect miracles unless your TV has built in anti-aliasing or some kind of movie mode or edge blur.
 
I did not notice much of a improvement when I made the switch to 480p.
Yes a little easier to read text in games but thats about it.

I was using a analog 25" CRT with the 480i format then switched to a 42" LCD HDTV with the 480p format.
