[Put in this section due to not being able to decide between Wii section and 360 :)]

Right, I never thought I'd be saying this (a few months ago I would even have dreamt of it) but... I'm thinking about selling my Wii for a 360. There, I said it.
Reasons why I'd want to:
- I must of played my Wii a good 2 or 3 times since 2007 has started
- Xbox 360 has Fifa - a game that I've always loved and is great to play with friends
- Gears of War - I have so many friends that have a 360 with this game, and all play online, and none of my friends have a Wii
- Graphics - Graphics were never something that I went for. But comparing Wii Sports to Fifa on 360, makes it kinda mindblowing how much better 360 graphics are, though there is nothing wrong with Wii graphics at all
- Last reason being the control, I love playing with the Wiimote, it's so much fun. Though I don't like the fact you have to buy 3 different controllers/attachments, in which to play certain games, and the likes of Zelda gets really annoying when you have to swing your arm every time you want to swing your sword yet you press a button to move forward which can get annoying.

Reasons I wouldn't wanna sell up:
- Wii franchises - Wii has a bunch of franchises that I love, that will come out with a bunch of games in the future, such as Mario, Smash Bros, Zelda, Donkey Kong, etc..
- The wait - I waited 4 months for a Wii, being excited every day. Coming on here everyday to find out the latest news in hope that the release date would be told (sounds sad - but we all did).
- The controller - though I said the controller got annoying, it's effin amazing too. Playing the likes of Wii Sports with friends and family, is sucha fun social experience, and is always a chuckle.
- The Mii's - creating your own lil character and playing games with it is great, and I know more games are to come.
- Internet on the Wii - porn. nuff said haha :) just kidding. It was always interesting to go on the internet on television, just always appealed to me.

Now why would I want to sell it? Other then the lack of playing and the reasons given above. Well I really do want a 360, and I know I can still make a profit off the Wii, but I'm still half and half on the decision, and, being greedy this may sound, if I could settle for both I would go Wii60 all the way :) But the fact that I'm not making much money due to lack of a job (though I have applied :)) I wouldn't be able to get a 360 for literally ages.

I can also say I'm a hypocrit. I've seen so many threads where people have been like 'yeh shd i get red steel orz wario help plz cant decide' and I've posted back saying 'You really need to learn to make your own decisions without getting others to choose etc..' but now I really can't decide for myself. I know I will in time, but it's always nice to hear other peoples opinions on the situation. Before anyone says, I'm very aware I'm on a Wii website, so I'm expecting biased opinions, but all opinions will be appreciated. Another reason that's making me think not to is you guys. Got close to all you guys (no homo) and would feel as though I was letting you down (in a sad way :D).

Anyway, after my essay, I hope to hear replies soon :) thanks.

Well, personally, I'd keep it.

If you changed your mind later, you may not be able to find a Wii for quite some time.

Also, I usually go to another website for Wii news, but I much prefer discussing the news on here. It just may taker a little bit to have a thread on said piece.

I'm debating whether to get a 360 at some point. I just don't think there's enough games I'd be interested in. Also, don't like the thought of subscription charges if I wanted to play online. Still, that's just my opinion...

But, if he buys the 360, he won't buy the Wii for sometime. So by the time he would start considering buying another one they would (most likely) be in stock all the time.

Wiired, man, I think you should honestly...keep it. The games about to come out will keep you occupied till the next awesome game comes out...then the next....then the next...you get my point. I get what you mean about not playing it much right now, but you will, it's a wait, but you will.

Just think about those wonderful 8 or so months we (the forum veterans) all had waiting for the Wii, discussing, assuming, getting crushed, getting excited...those were the *twitch* good times *twitch*.

i say do it, as cheap as wii is you can get one in the future if you Really want one
+ you know you want to play gears with sovieto

I understand what you're both saying, and ironically that's how I feel too. But it's the fact that I don't play the Wii now, and haven't for some time. Whereas there are games that are already out on 360 which I'd really want to be playing - Fifa being one of my favourite franchises (don't ask me why :))
Another answer you guys might be able to give me - is how to make enough money for a 360 quickly :D then I could have both and be more than happy :)

To Sov : Don't tempt me @@@@@@

Keep it (fifa will come out on it)
But then again I kept every console I ever got

But at the mow theres nothing diffrent out on it in the UK (see new blog for my rant)
also wait untill the ps3 comes out the price will drop

Sell your body? Lol.

If you're a student, wait til the next lot of student loan (or EMA).
If you're on JSA, save up the money.
Other than that, not sure...
...Move in with a friend that already has a 360! Best of both worlds! Lol.

If there's a GAME or something near you, you could try and apply for a job there, mentioning in the interview that you're saving up for a 360, possibly from their shop!

I never get in the situation of what to sell, as I always keep my old consoles. Every now and again, I like to crack open the N64 and play Goldeneye or Perfect Dark.

its all up to you. they are both great systems, the lineup coming out for the wii in the next couple of months is awesome. id say keep it mainly because you said you had lack of money and youll have to get a good little bit just to do that. keep it for now and start cutting grass

Pity.
Though I usually found the Local GAME store much friendlier than the Local Console Connections.
Still, you're right, looking from a corporate perspective.

i could not care less if my mates didnt have a wii anyway thats changing all my mates who had their eye on the 360 i told them to have a shoot of the wii and BAM! now they fight over who will get theirs first

KEEP IT THE BEST IS STILL TO COME

well, try to sell your wii on ebay if possible and if they still make profit on used ones
or try to find someone who would want to buy it for 250 (since it is out of stock and used)
and how i see it if you get just fifa and gears, youll be set for a LONG time
just gears and a couple arcade games is more than enough for me
i play gears pretty much all the time, and it was the first game i bought with my 360
i have rainbow six and halo 2, i played rainbow six for about a week before i wanted to go back to gears, and i just rarely play halo 2 at all
so get Fifa, get Gears, and get a 360, and youll be set..
the games arent like wii sports or wario ware that get boring in a matter of days, only to crack them out once in awhile when your friends come over
btw, you gotta get live too! if you dont get live right away then i say ignore gears

well actually soveito your wrong wii-sports has lasted me 3 months and warioware has lasted me around 2 months

and i still play them both

Haha thanks for the suggestions. And in September, I'll start getting £30 a week. *IDEA* Whata idea. Sell my Wii now while I can still get a profit right? Then when I get £30 a week in September, Wii's will be cheaper on eBay, and all the good games would been out for a few months and cheaper (aka Mario Galaxy, Sonic, Brawl etc..) and I'll be able to get them all :D (my current fave idea :)) 'cause I really wanna keep a Wii, but want 360 for other reasons too (I sound evar so greedy :()

And to Sovieto : I'd def get Live straight away - one of the main reasons I want 360 :)

right
question: do you play them by yourself?
another: when you get home, is what you want to do is to get some time in with those games?
yet another: at school or whatever, do you think: man i want to just go and play wii sports

if the anwser to all of these is Yes, your a liar
if their all No, (which you probably wont admit) then obviously they havent lasted you 2 months
i really dont need anwsers, those are just ones you can keep to yourself and know the truth behind them too
have fun with yourself knowing the anwsers to those

@wiired
theres also a lot of brits you play, A LOT..so you wont always have to play with "stupid fat americans"
