Dev Kits?

Someone told me that in Gamestop those are Dev Kits and not the final product.

Is that true? I thought they were the final product...

My wal mart for some reason has working versions of both the ps3 and wii, but bigger city wal marts i have been to do not?. hrmm anyway's the guy at my wal mart said the one they have is a retail version(final product)

I don't know. but the Wii will require an update.
