Wii reached 1 million sales in UK in 11 weeks LESS time than previous fastest selling console of all time, The PS2

and worldwide, it followed the same pattern.

but wii is selling a lot faster every where else too

I think the 360 did better in US sales while Wii was more popular in Japan.

yeh, xbox is real big in u.s, and it came out ALOT earlier than wii. but wii has shipped more world-wide.

Which console is better is a matter of personal opinion. They're are very different consoles, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. One selling more than the other doesn't automatically make it better.
