I'd pick it up, but I enjoy a good rail shooter...many, many don't.

the thing that were all missing is th best part. its online. (which obviously wont be on rails)

what makes you think that? im willing to bet all my money it will be on rails.
the online will probably be co-op (both your aimers on the screen at once) or if they wanted to go really far, at the most, itd be on-rail fighting where maybe you fight then constantly move to new locations and keep fighting

Is it a port? Or is it a sequel that heads to the Wii instead of an Arcademachine?

I read nothing about online play in that article.
But I'm a bit clueless of how you can do online play, unless it's online co-op.

A Wii Play style package with the game and a simple plastic "gun" for the wiimote to fit in would be a decent deal for $50-60. Then I'd cop another gun for like $10.
