HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!!!
Every week, the Gunslingers give thanks to the fantastic new adults to join our ranks in the last seven days (last Wednesday to this Wednesday), and we are fortunate to set more places at our proverbial dinner table. Before we go any further, let's raise those drumsticks to the following greenhorns:

We have a couple of important GS improvements to share with the rest of you! Take a look:
Holiday Greetings - Now that Black Friday has come and gone (anytime a shopper is trampled or pepper-sprayed an angel gets its wings), we are ready for the time honored tradition of getting our Christmas decorations up slightly too early. The Gunslingers is no exception. Throughout our clan's website, Holiday themed changes to graphics have been made. Check them out!
Gunslinger Desktop - A brilliant Gunslinger themed desktop image has been created by GS*Whiplash. Check it out and download it from the GS clan site if you like! Thanks for sharing your creativity with the rest of us, Whiplash!
Book Worm - The addictive word game, "Book Worm," has been installed into the ever growing GS Arcade! Use your vocabulary to get the high score.
Dynamic Masterlists - We have had a lot of fantastic new members join up with the Gunslingers in recent months, so it occurred to me that a major enhancement to our Masterlists may be overlooked, which would be a shame for a couple reasons. For one, our Masterlists can by dynamically re-sorted by users. Second, we are presently the only Nintendo clan with this forum function thanks to Toezer's hard work of pioneering the coding. I haven't posted in this recruiting thread for awhile (well, by my standards, anyway) because of a pretty crazy work schedule. No rest for the wicked, as they say. What that means is that we are terribly overdue for another round of New Members Round-Up! Granted, there are other Gunslinger updates that I would like to share but those can wait for another day. As the Gunslingers clan collectively sip coffee, enjoying the afterglow of last night's Frosty Pints celebration (our weekend tradition of grabbing some brews and raiding the public matches together), here is a bit of an overview of recent updates that has occurred in the overall Gunslinger clan.
Membership Milestone - Prior to the evening of this Friday, the Gunslingers officially became over 3,300 members strong. The party keeps growing! And all fellow mature, casual gamers are invited. If you are tired of all the arbitrary rules, new member probation periods that treat you as guilty before innocent, or supposed adult clans that let their forums and chats be populated by underage gamers and nonmembers alike, come visit the oasis from it all - The Gunslingers!
Arcade Tournament - We have all heard of the line, "It's on like Donkey Kong." The WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE: Balki's Donkey Kong Jr. High Score tournament gives it a literal meaning. All Gunslinger members have until January 16th to beat Balki's incredible highscore in Donkey Kong Jr found within the custom GS*Arcade. New GS*Arcade Additions - Speaking of the GS*Arcade, there have been more games installed in the last few weeks. "Running Wizard" -a throw back to the Atari minded gameplay days-, "Bookworm" -a game from the Scrabble tradition-, and "Become the 16-Bit Wizard" -the game that tests your aging memory of your SNES playing days with trivia- have all been added!
New Gunslinger Music - GS*DaguesOfWar has been kind enough to add two original rock songs composed by him and his band to the GS*Jukebox! Take a listen to the songs, "Train" and "Hey There, Man"! The jukebox is comprised entirely of music created by ever talented Gunslinger members. New Gunslinger Theater Additions - Animation and Science Fiction sections have been added to the GS*Theater! We have some more general Gunslingers updates to share! As we count down the final days until Christmas, here is what's new in the GS realm:
The Christmas Arcade Marathon - All week, we have been adding Christmas themed games to the GS Arcade. So far, "Christmas Couples," "Santa Attack," and "Santa's Tower" has been added in the holiday spirit!
The New Gunslinger Loot Section - As time goes on, members have been sharing programs, desktops, and other GS "goodies." We didn't have a very practical way of getting folks to those add-ons. The new "Gunslinger Loot" section of the GS Forums changes that! View that members-only section to receive the newest GS related applications. New features will be added as often as possible.
Expanded Forum Icons - I have added new forum icons to all the main forum sections, which most did not have prior to tonight. Some of the sections, such as the console specific forum sections, received updated versions of their icons. Subsections ("Music," "Film/Television," and "Birthdays" are fine examples) have also gotten their own icons to make the place a bit more pleasing to the eye.

Christmas Day has passed and all the presents have been opened, which means there are a whole lot of us out there who have new games to play! For those of you checking out this forum for the first time because of said gifts, here is the original Gunslinger recruiting message posted again!
Are you interested in socializing with Nintendo players your age but haven't been able to "weed out" all the adolescent players? Have you been unable to join traditional, time-consuming clans because, being responsible adult, you have had to juggle your free time with going to college, taking care of children, or being employed in a full time job? In short, are you interested in an online experience akin to "shooting the bull" with a group of drinking buddies? If so, then Nintendo Gunslingers is the right place for you!
MEMBERSHIP
We are fortunate to have over 3,300 adults registered on our homepage, and Friend Code Master Lists that are growing by the day.
We have a large collection of parents. We have the large collection of college students. And we have the large collection of the working men (and women) members.
If you would like to join the club, you need only to fulfill two things:
That's it! We don't ask for resumes, kill/death ratios, probation periods, or any other sort of silliness. You just want to have fun, right? So do we! If you would like to learn more about membership with the Gunslingers, feel free to visit our "How To Join" page of at our website.
