Large Screens, Cables & Wiiiiiiiii.

Can anyone with a large size television give me a little insight into the difference in quality between the supplied cables (480i/576i) and the component cables(480p)?

- Will i notice a big difference?
- Does it MAKE a big difference for someone with a large screen TV?

I have a Sony RP HDTV 50" - Bravia engine. Games look pretty much awful. Colours are blurred and washed out. The image has lost quality due to being blown up to 50 inches. Everything is fine on a smaller TV.

the difference in p and i is progressive vs. interlace. the 480p will show all 480 lines at one time whereas the 480i does not. also too the component cables split the signal into the three basic colors where as the composite shoots all the signal through one wire.

I have a 56 inch DLP and the component wires helped alot with detail.
