Mario Kart Wii Lan game

is it possible to play a LAN game of Mario Kart Double Dash with the Gamecube and Wii?

I suppose not since the Wii online is different but you never know

I have heard it isn't as the modems are totally different. Might be fixed with a firmware update one day though.

There was like a LAN connector for the Gamcube and I think Mario Kart was one of the games you could us on it.

If it does work I'll be so upset [I use a Wireless conection]
But if it did I mean I sold Mario Kart [When I traded in my Gamecube - It was the Mario Kart Package so it had to go with it]
