Kameo was pretty much an N64 game, as it was then nixed, graphics revamped and viola, serve it on a hotplate of $59.99.

ps3's amazing graphics and hard drive in xbox 360's shell with wii's controller = the best combination known to man

Or just get all 3 for cheaper than a mid-grade gaming PC and enjoy.

This entire thread makes no sense at all. Microsoft is not worried about Sony, or Nintendo for that reason. Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar company that produces everything from computers to music accessories. Of the three main video game companies, Microsoft has BY FAR the most resources at their disposal. They are going to make money off their systems regardless of Nintendo or Sony, and if they have to invent something innovative like Nintendo has done, all they need to do is get Bill Gates to sign the cheque and it is done. The only advantage that Microsoft would get from forgng with Nintendo would be to eliminate any other competition, and Microsoft does not consider Nintendo to be that big of a threat right now. Microsoft is actually one of the f irst companies ever to ac tually make a profit off a console in the 360, as opposed to losing like $250 a pop for every ps3 made by Sony.

Also, they are two entirely different entities with different cultures. Nintendo is the family friendly, games for everyone type of company, where Microsoft is the "lets take over the world with our money and all the high end technology we can buy." Trying to forge these two type of values systems would be very difficult, and considering how power hungry microsoft is, with all the talk of only allowing microsoft primary software on their systems by default (ever see a netscape browser come with windows out of the box? No, I didn't think so.), it would be very hard for this to happen.

Anyways, as fun as you think it would be for it to happen, it is not likely ever to happen. And even if it did, the chances of having a company that is both 50% Nintendo, and 50% Microsoft, well....that is a pipe dream.

What does that have to do with anything? For one thing, Nintendo is known for developing high quality, family friendly games, so obviosly they are going to make an attempt to put their best foot forward by having a system launch with top notch software MADE BY THEMSELVES. Mario 64, Zelda etc.

Microsoft is not known as primarily a game developer, like I had mentioned, which is why you see most top notch games on their side being from third party developers, with a few exceptions of course.

it has to do with the fact that your saying that they don't include a different companies browser w/ their os as opposed to one they make, that seems obvious of course, ad nintendo is doing the same...

lol time for sony to get out of the market before the price of their stocks go down, the less money they make the cheaper the company is so if they dont do well in ps3 plp will not be investors to them this means the end of sony in the game market

You should pursue a career in economics.

There is a big difference between a browser, which is packed with any computer made, and a video game console, which very rarely in these days releases a game with a system.

One other thing about this, is that internet explorer is a crap browser. It is prone to viruses, is very insecure, and is also prone to crashing. They are not known for secure or reliable browsing software in that respect, which is why people consider Mozilla and the like as being surperior browsing software. However, microsoft will not allow other software, which can be better, to be put on their systems, at least not primary software such as a web browser. Obviously, a company wants to have their product get out to the mainstream more so than others, but microsoft has shown a tendency to not willingly cooperate with other competitors. They don't need to anyways, they have the money to literally do what they need to.

Another big difference between microsoft and nintendo is their scope. Nintendo is a video game company...period. Microsot is a video game company...and a computer one...and a tele-communications one...and a
video company...the list goes on. While it is true that make a sizable profit on the x-box line, the world is not going to end if it does not do that great.

Nintendo on the other hand, NEEDS to do well in the video game componenet because it is their life line. It also means they are more willing to cooperate with third party entities in the long run because it gives them more success.

I must also state, I am talking a bout this companies as a whole, and not just on the video game level. If microsoft and nintendo merged, microsoft would ultimately dominant.

If Nintendo and Microsft actualy joined together to create the next system Sony wouldn't even exist in the gaming world:eek:

Great games from both sides, awsome features combind.
