I didn't see it on the VC master list thread and my searches didn't provide a definitive answer.

Are there any plans to ever offer this title for the Wii VC?

I am not too sure, but with time it may be added to the VC library.

Midway is making MK 3 ultimate for the Wii, it's a port. So that means Rampart will come to the Wii. Unlike the PS3 port, which was based on the arcade with some redone graphics, Rampart for the SNES has far more to it. The PS3 version is currently online playable, let's hope Nintendo gets the hint for the VC version.

We have no clue when a vc game comes until it's announced by Nintendo on their press page. We can see when a game is prepared through ESRB's site but sometimes the game is still a surprise that Monday (in the US)

Exactly!


Also, I'm beleive Nintendo said that VC releases with be the same as the original versions, none of which included online play.
