There are of course rumors but none have been confirmed by Nintendo about a games channel where you can download games by independent developers but it seems like they would need a massive hard drive of some sort

No one said that the games will be downloaded they might very well be streamed through wifi. Anyway like you said it is un confirmed as of yet.

You play your wii on a TV! Press a button and watch some football, why does the wii have to have a tv channel, when your using a TV to use your wii. :wtf:
