Interesting.
So far I have found out that the wireless card in the Wii uses a Broadcom chip model BCM4318EKFBG mounted in as a separate removable component made by Mitsumi with part DWM-W004. Datasheets for the two seem to be damn near impossible to find so Im going to look through the FCC documents to see if it can help pin down the networking standard it uses.

can the Wii connect to a PC via a Netgear WG111 802.11g adapter? And would there be any point?
