eh, give it a year or so when all the 'kiddy' games like Manhunt2 and stuff comes out. Then itll be really bad... /sarcasm.

I'm with you there, but on a side note, if anyone wants to count them up, then go ahead.

Be warned though:

This is a sortable list of the 275 games that have been released or are in development for Nintendo's Wii video game console, referred to by their English titles.

Anyways, no more Wii guys. This is about Ps3!
Agreed, this is getting away from the PS3 in Europe...

not going to quote it cause he said like 20 other billion things, but i absoloutly hate it when people say the wii is for kids, games might seem on the childish side but the games are challanging, and the wii is supposed to be for everyone,

Well lets put it this way, as Squal has stated, the Wii is for everyone. How do you make something for every one? You make it good for the youngest possible audience, aka children. A good example to explain how nintendo works is to compare them to a 3d animated Movie. You know the bigs ones that come out like shrek, happy feet, toy story..ect They are cartoony, and they often feel the same. Many can say these G, PG movies are for kids, and in a sense they are. Parents take their kids to go see them, but sometimes, the parents can enjoy them as well. Like in Shrek, it includes many types of humor a kid wouldnt understand. This to me is what the Wii is. Its an animated rate G movie that has to appeal to children while sneaking in the stuff that might appeal to the older audiences.

Another thing to note is how nintendo markets their systems. Yes, they target children. Go ahead and look at every commercial since the nes, about 90% of them target children. Mario appears on kiddie bed sheets, kid underwear, cerial, baby toys. SO yes you can say the Wii is for children, but its this conistancy that has kept ninty going. Because those children grow up, all they know and like is nintendo, and thus stick to it even though they might not be part of those target commercials anymore due to growing older.

So there you have your answer. If you want people to stop assuming its for children, then go tell nintendo to change their marketing tactics. Good luck with that though, ninty knows the market for kids is far more profitable for some odd reason.

The difference being that the Wii will have some games that are exclusively targeted at the "mature" audience, rather than subtle innuendo. So it's more like the equivolent of a Disney movie roled into a horror. Think Bambi's mother gets shot and she comes back to haunt him, and kills each of his little cartoony friends... Kinda like Happy Tree friends, only with some stuff that's suitable for kids as well.

Actually, you're equating what Nintendo have done in the past with the Wii itself. Most of the adverts I've seen on British TV have 20 somethings playing the Wii, and certainly no overt targetting at kids.

So there you have your answer. If you want people to stop assuming its for children, then go tell nintendo to change their marketing tactics. Good luck with that though, ninty knows the market for kids is far more profitable for some odd reason.
Err, no actually. If you want people to stop assuming it's for children, you'd tell them to look at how the Wii is now, rather than Nintendo's history. Besides, Nintendo have always been family friendly. Sony just got into the console market and targeted games for teenagers/young adults. If anything, it's those "hardcore" people who only go for stuff with blood, guts and violence ALL the time that actually slander Nintendo (yes, because the "kiddie" status is flawed and false).
