can anyone see the ps3 going down in price and if it does...how much by? and when do you think?

Sony confirmed a price drop when they put a weaker, smaller cell chip in their new PS3's in 2009/2010. Any price drops before then are unconfirmed. Screw the price of the system. What about the games? $60 a game is crazy. I've only paid $50 for two games, Disgaea, and Zelda TP. The rest I always bought on sale. They gave us excuses, but the Wii didn't. Price drop those games!

they plan a price drop after their exclusives hit the shelves and their other forms of revinue take hold (bluray, Home, ect). Expect to see a slight one within 1-2 years.
