I've got a dumbass question because I didn't know these existed until now (except the one at E3). Its a light gun so it doesn't use the IR? Then would it work with a newer non-interlaced tv?

No of course it uses the IR. It's not a light gun at all. It's just plastic caddy for a wii mote to turn it into a light-gun style experience.

i want someone to actually make a 'wiigunmote' (lmao)...the trigger would obviously be the B button, then he A, +, - an d-pad could be on the handle so u press them with ur thumb...then with a connection on the bottom for the 'chuck to plug in! possibility?
