Red light on wii

Is the red light on the wii suppose to stay on all the time? I get worried and unplug it being afraid it will break?

the red light simply means the wii is turned off. Don't worry, it wont break if you unplug it.

No. Mine has been on standby with WiiConnect24 on since launch and I haven't had any problems.

Actually, Red Just Means "Off". Period.

Yellow/Orange Is Standby+WC24

And Green Is On! ^_^

when i turn my wii off with the remote the light goes a yellow/orange. Green when i play it but i have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to go red? is there a problem with my wii?

Red - Off Completely

Yellow - Connect24 is enabled in options (Downloads email and what not, this is perfectly fine, it's equivielent to being off.)

Green - On
