I noticed that a lot of people are ticked at that plainness of Sonic's special moves.
What, you haven't noticed? Don't worry, it'll come.
Anyways, I am some one who is actually THANKING Sakurai. Why?
It's as simple as "I was a fan of the 16-bit games". The first Sonic game is actually the one that got me into gaming in the first place.
After Sonic got a voice and stuff like the Light Dash and what not, it pretty much lost me.
That's not to say that I'm a casual gamer. In no sense of the word. But it just wasn't the same. They really did kind of mess up Sonic's 2-D/3-D transition.
Anyways, his controls should feel natural to me! It's just like the Genesis! They even have the spring look very close to the Genesis version!
