I haven't played Scarface yet (sounds good), I loved the movie. My opinion is biased, The Godfather is awesome. Have some fun being the bad guy for once.

I say both, i like both of them...............but for some reason Godfather takes it all

i dont own either (im not a big sandbox gamer, i like a bit more linear of a storyline) but ive heard better things about the godfather.
