SOTW #10 Applications

have read a few though i cant learn through them, the easiest way for me is just to play around and do it. Plus ive only been making sigs for a few weeks, i dont expect them to be any good, i enter for practice and fun, not to try and prove how good i am

You sound like me. Tuts never helped me much either. Not using tuts causes a slower learning process but, in the end, it makes you more unique because you're not constantly tut-whoring all of your sigs.

I like looking at GameRenders tuts. Not so much for the 'how to make' because I feel I know almost everything I need to, but to check out other peoples outcomes after they've read the tuts for inspiration (not to copy their sigs bit by bit ). And I also only enter the SOTW's for practice, whole reason I wanted the whole thing to be started up

I'm not necessarily going to even enter this SOTW, but if I do, am I allowed to use something Mario related, that isn't actually in the game? e.g, a guy dressed as Mario:
