I've been able to get the crazy side spin (that causes the ball to bounce funny) consistantly with my backhand. As I prepare to hit and bring my arm back, I have the face of the remote turned a bit to face up. Then as I hit the ball, I turn my thumb-side down and lift up my arm up (for more of a lob). If you time the spin of the remote correctly, you will get the wicked side-spin bounce (which is effective against some biological lifeforms).

Yes, idjut, WiiSports.

The forehand basically works the same way.

Left or right, forehand or backhand, this is the simplest way I can think to explain it...

As I bring my arm back, my thumb is on top. When I hit the ball, my thumb turns away from the screen and down as I turn the remote and follow thru.
