OK, I missed out on the Gamecube due to a serious addiction to Counter Strike for a few years on my PC. Now that I am getting the Wii I would like to get around 5 Gamecube games.

Which ones are essential? I have the following list:

Zelda: Wind Waker
Resident Evil 4
Beyond Good And Evil
Mario Sunshine
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

I've heard that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is really good. I'm either going to get it for myself or ask my wife to buy it for me for Christmas.

Without a doubt buy Viewtiful Joe, you can get the first (and best) cheap now.
And Resident Evil 4 is a superb choice. And Star Wars Rouge Leader.

My Top 10 GCN titles
1- Resident Evil 4
obviously the best game and the most enjoyable
2-Super Smash Bros Melee
Fun, multiplayer, Alot of features and alot of characters
3-Metroid Prime
The first and the best Metroid prime game on the GCN
4-Zelda Windwaker
One of the most enjoyable games i've played. Loved it!
5-Mario sunshine
Not as much stuff but is still good.
6-Eternal darkness, Sanity's Requiem
Its great but kind of creepy o_O
7-Tales of symphonia
Ahh yes over 80 hours of fun! But too much repeating stuff in the story
8-Paper Mario
Funny as some times but story is too short for me
9-Prince of persia the two thrones
Fun, Good story and good puzzles
10-NBA Street Vol.2
Not a big fan of sports game but this one was fun.

i traded mine all in awhile ago, but id suggest getting these titles.

Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 1
Tales of Symphonia
Eternal darkness
Zelda: Wind Waker (special edition) comes with both zelda titles from N64

hey

I'd highly recommend...

Wave Race: Blue Storm
Zelda: Wind Waker
Resident Evil 1
Metroid Prime, and/or Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Note, I haven't played every greatly known game.
