the big thing for me is, will the plug outlet eventually start to get loose or connection failure from constant in and out. On my ps2 slim i used to have it didnt have a power switch like the original ps2 and after a while from having to constantly unplug it, it started to become real loose. I wish they made a switch in the back for the wii.

When the light is Yellow Wiiconnect24 is active. When the light is red it means that wiiconnect24 is in-active. Simple

I keep our Wiiconnect24 off and manually check for updates once a week.

Just turn the power off from the socket then !
