Guys,

have posted a similar question or the general board so dont flame me

I was after a wii in singapore the options being japanese or us
having found out you cant change the language on the japanese one I hae decided to go for a us one.
but does this mean i can only play us games? or would the games sold in the uk be ok.
also hae some ntsc back ups from malaysia would theyu work on the us /and or uk consoles

Nah, you'd need a modchip to do that, but after stories of Paper Mario permanently crashing your PAL Wii, and also the fact that it's not advised and I think possibly illegal (though I'm not too sure about that part), I'd say just get a UK one (when you can find one).

America Wiis play only NTSC wii games
Europe Wiis play only PAL wii games

Also you'll need a power transformer to convert the voltage to 240v if you plan to use it in the UK, i think Maplins sell them - got mine second hand for about £15
